Place Parametric Equipment

Used to define the heads and internal components when placing a parametric vessel.

Accessed when you select one of the parametric tank or vessel options from the Tanks and Vessels gallery:

Note: The title of this dialog will change to Edit Parametric Equipment when an existing parametric component is selected and the Edit option is chosen from the pop-up menu.
SettingDescription
Orientation Enabling Vertical will place a vertical vessel and enabling Horizontal will place a horizontal vessel
Top/Left Head Provides a list of head types for the top or left of the vessel depending on the orientation.
Bottom/Right Head Provides a list of head types for the bottom or right of the vessel depending on the orientation.
Internals

Lists the following internal sections that can be added to the vessel:

  • Packed
  • Trayed
  • Plate
Draw Top/Left Line Below Vessel Head Provides the option of drawing a seam on the vessel.
Draw Bottom/Right Line Below Vessel Head Provides the option of drawing a seam on the vessel.
Locks

Click the button to expand the locks section displaying the following options:

Heads Tab

The heads tap of the dialog shown below provides fields to define the type of head you have selected for the vessel. The Parametric Image in the pane to the right changes dynamically as you enter new values in the fields.

SettingDescription
Elliptical Heads

Top/Left: Defines the height of the top elliptical head.

Bottom/Right: Defines the height of the bottom elliptical head if applicable.

Floating/Cone Roof

Gap: Defines the gap between the floating roof and the vessel.

Depth: Defines the depth of the floating roof.

Cone Height: Defines the height of the cone head.

Flange

Gap: Defines the gap between the top flange and the vessel.

Extend: Defines the flange width, or how much it extends past the vessel sides.

Water Seal

Gap: Defines the gap between the side of the water seal and the vessel wall.

Depth: Defines the gap between the water seal and the bottom of the vessel.

Seal Height: Defines the height of the water seal side wall.

Internals Tab

The Internals tab allows you to define the number of Packed, Trayed or Plate sections if either were selected from the Internals list in the Main tab.
